Hutan Hashemi, JD

Hutan oversees the corporate compliance program across the NeoGenomics enterprise. He is a seasoned healthcare attorney, spending the last 12 years focusing on matters related to compliance, privacy, and regulatory challenges within the diagnostics industry. Most recently, Hutan served as Chief Compliance Officer at Progenity, Inc. (now Biora Therapeutics), a molecular diagnostics and device company, and was responsible for the company’s compliance with their Corporate Integrity Agreement, from implementation activities to successful execution under the terms of the agreement. Previously, Hutan spent 8 years in various roles of increasing scope and responsibility at Genoptix, Inc., including Chief Compliance Officer & Senior Counsel, where he played a vital role in the acquisition of Genoptix by NeoGenomics in 2018. Prior to his in-house career, Hutan was an attorney at the law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. Hutan earned his JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law (2004) and a BA in Economics, with honors, from the University of California, Irvine (2001). Hutan is an active member of the State Bar of California.
