Stephen Kanovsky

Stephen has over 35 years of experience in the global life sciences and biotechnology industries. He is currently General Counsel, Commercial of GE HealthCare, a business unit of General Electric that provides medical technologies and solutions to the global healthcare industry. He was previously General Counsel for GE HealthCare’s Life Sciences business and its Global Innovations group. He joined GE HealthCare after various in-house general counsel and compliance officer roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to in-house pharma roles, Stephen had a civil litigation practice with Drinker Biddle LLP (now Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP). Prior to that, he worked at Merck in basic research, regulatory affairs, and project management. Stephen received his JD degree from the Temple University Beasley School of Law. He has BAs in chemistry and biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in pharmacology from the Temple University School of Pharmacy. He also has an MBA (in Pharmaceutical Marketing) from the Saint Joseph’s Haub School of Business, where he was also an Adjunct Professor from 2005–2014.
